An internal layer of leather provides enhanced strength, support, and comfort. The appropriate level of support is critical to skater performance and injury prevention. Selecting a boot that is too stiff for the skater's ability and physical characteristics can seriously impede the flexibility necessary to perform and develop skating skills. It can also result in injury as the skater is unable to properly break-in the boot. A boot that is too soft will result in a lack of support, impacting performance and can lead to premature breakdown of the skates.
Fit is established by the Last, which defines the shape and dimensions of the Boot. All Jackson boots are made on the Jackson Elite Performance Last which provides a much rounder shape in the toes with tighter heels for a competitive fit.
The same shape and fit extends throughout our line of boot products to make transitioning from 2000 Series to our 5000 & 6000 Series boots easier. All of our boots are available in Regular (A/B) or W (C/D) widths. Jackson’s unique Heat Moldable System allows for our boots to be shaped to each individual skater, allowing for a greater variety of feet to fit in our products and excellent heel lock, ideal for flat feet.
